Healthy Coffee Cake
Okay so to make this you're going to want 2 bowls.
One to mix dry ingredients and one to mix the wet.
First mix 1 Banana, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup coconut
oil, 1/3 cup coffee (any coffee will work as long as it's black) I
used an electric mixer.
Set aside that bowl.
In your other bowl mix 1tsp. baking powder, 1/3 brown
rice protein, 1/2 salt (preferably sea salt, I had to us table salt
though as I didn't have any), 2/3 cup cocoa powder.
Once its all mixed, pour your dry ingredients in your
wet! Once again for this step I used my electric mixer.
Grease a baking pan, pour it all into a pan!
Then pour a bit of maple syrup on top.
Bake at 350 for 30-40mins (mine took 43, check with tooth pick)
HeartLand Coconut Oil
HeartLand Brown Rice Protein
Cocoa Powder I got in bulk

Friday night (day 1) Right as Erick (boyfriend) and I were heading to bed (11pm) I started crying for no reason what so ever! And not tearing up, full on balling my eyes out. Erick (boyfriend) knows I've quitting my antidepressant so we understood and just talked to me about things I usually find funny, within 10 mins I was fine again, so there nothing ever happened
Saturday I was fine, no headahces, emotional problems etc :)
Sunday was bad though, lots of crying for no reason, feeling really tired, and just feeling really low, I'm so thankful for my family and boyfriend for supporting me and being there for me.
Monday and Tuesday were great emotionally, felt happy in a good mood all day both days! The only thing is I was really tired and had a headache, but other than that I was fine :D I did stop the St. John's Wort on Monday as I heard it can cause withdrawal to be worse, so maybe that's why I've been better!

Today's my first day off Ciprelax, I usually took it at 9pm and I didn't take it last tonight. It's now Friday afternoon and the last time I took it was Wednesday night.
So far all I've felt is just a bit of a headache and I'm sweaty (I work in an air conditioned building). My vision is a bit shaky if that makes sense, almost like I've thing in front of me isn't quite real. I'm really tired even after getting a good nights sleep last night, though I've been really tired all the time since upping the dose to 20mg 3 weeks ago.
The withdrawal isn't that bad (knock on wood) so far. No emotional changes, still feel fine, happy, mad at things that usually make me mad, nothing abnormal.
I took my Multi-Vitamin, B-12, St John's Wort, and Iron this morning. I've always been low on iron and I read last night it can help with depression as well. I actually work at a pharmacy, I'm just a cashier, but I spoke with the pharmacist and she said it was fine to take all the vitamins together That's my check in today, I'll be back tomorrow

For the past 2 months I've been taking Ciprelax for my depression, I started at 10mg and recently moved up to 20mg. I have found it has helped some what. I still get depressed from time to time as well as angry, but it has helped.
Also in the past 2 months I've completely changed my diet! I'm eating clean now, fresh greens, fruits, veggie. No more processed garbage! Also I go to the gym 3-5 times a week, taking classes at Goodlife! it's been great!
However, I've noticed I really haven't lost that must weight (5 pounds max) in the 2 months. Way less than I should have. I haven't been cheating, I don't skip the gym so why am I not losing weight? I lost 20 pounds a couple years ago with no major problems, the weight came off fairly easy after starting the gym and eating healthier so what's wrong with me now?
I've done my research and now I'm thinking its the Ciprelax stopping me from losing weight. I thought I got off easy as it didn't cause any weight gain when I started it, but I came across a lot of forms that have said antidepressants came cause it to be much harder to lose weight.
After lots of researching and thinking I've decided I want to quit my meds! COLD TURKEY.
Yes I said cold turkey! I know it's not wise and I should cut back slowly, but I've ran out of pills and don't want to have to buy more just to wein myself off them. I've read all the horror stories of withdrawal I'm about to go through, but I'm ready!!
I bought 1,000mg of B-12 as I heard it helps with depression and 300mg of St. John's Wort so I'm hoping those help to make it not as bad to come off.
I think I'm making the right choice. I quit my birth control pill a couple months back after being on it 2 years because I really didn't want the chemicals in my body so I think I'm making the right choice in quitting Ciprelx as well.
I'm defiantly going to keep updating to let you know how it's going!!

Relationships... They can be really amazing but also really horrible! All depending on what type you have!
This is a topic I wanted to talk about today because I just recently lost my best friend over a relationship! We had been friends for 8 years! We were inseparable, spent every lunch break together, hung after school, every weekend, called each other every night for 3 hours! We were close!!
Two years ago she started dating this guy, who at first I really liked and was encouraging her to go after him, it wasn’t until they started dating that I realized he was bad news!!! Hes very controlling, makes her hang out with him all the time weather she wants to her not, always invites him self to things (like if you're having a girls night with a bunch of friends and sleeping over he'll invite himself). Not only does he boss her around though, he's bad news himself, he shoplifts all the time which you'd never guess from meeting him, he comes from a good family, has a good job, certainly makes enough to not have to steal! I'm just worried she's going to get in trouble one day because of him, they'd already been caught once.
Okay so let's get into the part about how their relationship ruined our friendship.. I was never really around her when she was with her boyfriend, they started dating second semester and he was in grade 12, we were in grade 11. He'd taken a all day coop placement at the place he currently now works for, so he was never at school. I had always heard about their relationship though, her being my best friend and all she told me everything, so I knew how bossy he was, also he has a.d.d so he can get very anger if he doesn't take his pills, he never hurt her or anything but would yell and get mad.
She had just turned 16 at the time they started dating so she still needed her mom to drive her to his house and whenever she wasn't aloud, the boyfriend would get mad and say "you never fight for our relationship" now I don't know about you, but I don't think your mom not driving you to his house one day is worth fighting over.
Anyways it was things like that, that I'd hear of from her, one day he did come into school and he was telling her to go out to lunch just them and leave me there, now me being the person i am didn't like that, I'm her friend and if she wants me to come I can, he shouldn't be bossing her around that way so I skipped up and said "you're going to let your controlling boyfriend control everything you do?". It was that moment right there the ruined our friendship, ever since he found out I didn't like him he wouldn't let her hang out with me, sure we'd hang at school, he didn't know he wasn't there, and grade 12 came around he was graduated, and we went thought grade 12 together like any other year, expect, he no longer talked on the phone or hung after school, anything like that. The only time shed come over was after school when she was going to his house, because school was out at 2:15 and he wasn't home from work til 4 (I lived close to the house and so did he, she didn't so she would have had to take the bus home and get a drive to his house) so it was prefect for her, especially in the winter to not have to wait around outside his house.
It started off that way, her using me for my house to stay at for a few hours, then graduating came. So we no longer saw each other everyday! And the crapping thing about not being in high school anymore is you actually need to make an effect to stay friends with your friends because you don't see each other everyday!
During the summer she'd text me from time to time to ask me to drive her to his house (since I had a car and she didn't). Then college, we go to the same college and see each from time to time in the hall. I'd text her all the time, and she'd answer 50% of the time, would hang for an hour on Mondays because we both had a break between classes, but that was it!!
Christmas break came, I texted her, she actually answered too
Me:I hope you have a good Christmas
Her: you too buddy, we need to hang next semester
(we had a month off school, and she actually didn't have one day she could've hung with me.. Intrusting)
Me: yeah maybe you can fit me in your schedule
Her: lol yeah, we'll have to compare schedules and maybe we have a break at the same time
Me: yeah cuz god knows you wont hang with me outside of school
Her: yeah sorry I'm really busy this week
Me: no its not about this week, it's about the past 2 years, (the said I huge paragraph about her bf)
Her: I know, I'm sorry, I know no one likes him and I'm sorry
Me: okay well I can't be your friend anymore, I'm not just gonna sit here while you be my friend 50% of the time, have a good life, i love you
And that was it, the last words ever spoken(typed) to each other.
It just makes ya wonder how much you'd have to "love someone" to ditch all your friends! I've been with my Boyfriend Erick for a year now and I've never ditched my friends for him.
Just makes me shake my head!! I'll he writing ALOT more about relationships, bad ones, good ones, what to look for, all that, just thought I'd start the series off with my story!

Shellac nail polish seems to be the new thing! Spas are advertising it like crazy now as a much healthier alternative to fake nails! It's suppose to stay on for 14 days and have no negative effects on the health of your nature nails.
I went to the spa and had mine done a beautiful purple with sliver glitter on the tips. I would say it probably took around 30mins to have them done. I started off with just a normal manicure, the same as what you would get if you were just getting your nails done with regular polish, then the lady applied a base coat, and put my hands under a uv light for 30seconds. After the base coat was done she started applying the purple, the first coat went on extremely sheer! She probably applied 5-6 coats of the purple, putting my hands under the uv light for a minute each time. After the purple was finally done she then applied one coat of the shellac glitter to the tips and once again put my hands under the light for yet another minute. She then painted the pattern on my thumbs with just regular polish, then applied a top shellac clear coat and I put my hands under the light one last time for 2 minutes this time. Then I was done and ready to go!
They're dry right away, another bonus to shellac!
It came to $43.00 which in my opinion isn't bad! It pays for the manicure it's self (which is usually $20) plus since I got the purple and glitter I was paying for two colours and also the pattern on the thumbs was an extra $5.
It ended up staying on for 12 days! Finally by day 11 it was starting to come off, on day 12 most of the edges of the polish had lifted just enough that when I ran my hands through my hair it would get caught and cause it to lift off even more. They didn't lie though because it didn't chip like regular polish, the whole shellac on the nail actually lifted up and came off in one big piece.
I'm very happy with it staying 12 days though, especially since my nails grow very fast anyways so any longer I would have had to go back and get them filled, they were already driving me crazy with how much they had grown out in just a week, so in a way I'm glad they came off.
*something that could have affected it was I cut my nails on day 10 and filed them down because they were so long and bugging me so that could have caused them to start to come off*
Their was no damage to my nails what so ever, it didn't thin them, cause them to break nothing, they looked just like they did before getting the shellac just longer and I was able to paint them with normal polish no problem.
All in all I would defiantly recommend them, I know pricing is different from spa to spa but $43 for 12 days of colour is great! One and only negative is if you're like me and like to change the colour all the time you can't do that with shellac
